Here is what you've been waiting for, the very impressive specifications for the McLaren F1. The great BMW engine has got 12 cylinders, 48 valves, and a volume of 368 cubic inches. (6024 cc.) The maximum power is 624 horsepower (465 kW) at 7500 rpm. The maximum torque of 498 lb-ft (674 Nm) is continuously available between 4000 and 7000 rpm. Thanks to the fantastic power of this engine and the low weight of this car (2260 lb, 1025 kg), it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Don't try this at home.... The entire chassis is made of carbon-fiber, which explains the low weight of this car. Please note that this car was built in 1994 !!!! The maximum speed of this car is 231 mph (371 km/h). The McLaren F1 has set the highest speed of a road-going sports car in the Guinness book of Records, at 241 mph. It will be clear that this record is set with a light modified model.  To get the best balance in this car, there is chosen for a 1 or 2 seat placing. The driver sits in the middle, the passengers have to sit behind him, left and right. It won't be very roomy in the rear seats of this car, but who cares.  If you get the chance to ride in one of these, it will be the ride of your life.  The only point of critic will be the price: This car is costing for about $1,000,000. But okay, this car isn’t in production any more, so when you’ve saved this money, you’re already too late.... Seeing how their is only about 9 of them in the United states, I can’t imagine there will be one owner who wants to sell his McLaren F1....
